Roberto Perdisci
Roberto Perdisci is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science department at the University of Georgia. He also holds an Adjunct Assistant Professor position in the Georgia Tech School of Computer Science, and is a faculty member of the UGA Institute for Artificial Intelligence. Before joining UGA he was Post-Doctoral Fellow at the College of Computing of the Georgia Institute of Technology, and Principal Scientist at Damballa, Inc.
Dr. Perdisci’s research interests are in Computer and Network Security, and in Machine Learning and Data Mining techniques for efficient modelling of very large datasets of network and system information. In particular, he currently focuses on Malware/Botnet modelling and detection at the network level. Dr. Perdisci is the recipient of the 2012 US National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) award.
