Introducing the SCS AI Village

Swiss Cyber Storm covered the AI Revolution in a highly successful 2024 edition of the conference. But the development of AI use cases continues, research runs at full speed and security is still lacking across the board.
At the same time, we feel like trying something new with the conference. We want to add a new flavor to our successful concept and we also want to make security more accessible for an audience that is not interested to follow 5-6 hours of presentation.
This is where the AI Village comes in: In this co-located event at Swiss Cyber Storm, you will find hands-on workshops, demos, poster sessions, panels and discussions at the problem solving desk and a lot of like minded people interested to talk!
Access to the AI Village comes with a Swiss Cyber Storm entry ticket and registration for the limited seats in the workshops starts now.
How do you register for an AI Village workshops? During the regular checkout process, you can select up to two workshops. But you can also return at a later moment and update your registration once the regular conference program becomes more clear. We expect some of the workshops to sell out really fast, so we will keep a waiting list, but it may be better to secure your seat immediately.
Workshops
Daniel Miessler – Our 2024 keynote speaker Daniel Miessler returns for a hands-on session with this Fabric tool suite. In this workshop he will share his experience and his tricks with agentic AI on fabric, very much like he demonstrated during his keynote last year. Learn more.
Andrea Hauser, Marisa Tschopp and Team – Andrea Hauser and former SCS speaker Marisa Tschopp bring a team of four scip red-teamers to Swiss Cyber Storm. They plan to set up three interactive stations for first hand AI experience: AI detection, AI Deepfakes and AI Manipulation. Learn more.
Katie Koetke and Team – In this crisis exercise, participants will form teams and tackle an AI use case that got out of hand. This is a real life stress test that will prepare your communication and coordination skills. Learn more.
Andrei Kucharavy – It’s not like an on-premise LLM would solve all the problems. So Andrei Kucharavy, member of the SCS AI Village team, will host this threat modeling workshop to address this typical AI architecture. It gives advice beyond the known OWASP Top-10 and will provider additional scenarios to sharpen their skills when returning home. Learn more.
Candid Wüest – Offensive AI sounds very promising, and lot of penetration testers are getting their hands dirty in this area. But how capable is AI really here? In this workshop, also submitted to Black Hat Las Vegas, Candid will showcase how agentic AI could enable autonomous, metamorphic malware. This is enriched by real-world examples and a variety of demos. Learn more.

The AI Village is a new offering, and the development is not 100% done. So there will be additional talks and possibly also more workshops. There is likely going to be a call for poster sessions and also announcements of panel discussions and generally more information on what you can experience on October 28. The best is to secure your ticket now and then to come back and check out this page for further information.
Alternatively, you can also subscribe to our newsletter and receive information about Swiss Cyber Storm and the AI Village delivered directly to your inbox. The newsletter registration is on the right side of the footer of the website.

This workshop helps you implement these ideas with the help of Daniel’s open source framework Fabric that supports the interaction with a variety of models in parallel via various fine-tuned prompts. ALLAI Show descriptionCouncil of Europe is the pan-European human rights organization.
It has forty-six member states and is based in Strasbourg, France.
The Council was established in 1949, on the initiative of leading European statesmen, such as Sir Winston Churchill, to promote and protect human rights, democracy, and the rule of law.
This, to ensure that the horrors of the Second World War would not be repeated.
The organization deals with all matters of government, with the exception of national defence.
It has established some 200 international treaties, called conventions, ranging from human rights, data protection, gender equality, and cultural diversity to combating racism, cybercrime child abuse, domestic violence, and terrorism. | Show descriptionThere is no talk on this track at this time, check the schedule of the other tracks instead. |

scip AG Show descriptionAt Swiss Cyber Storm, scip AG is bringing hands-on engagement to the participants as part of the AI Village. Our team of four red teamers will offer an interactive space where attendees can explore, experiment, and discuss AI security in an informal yet educational setting. Whether cybersecurity professionals or AI-curious, participants can join us and engage with experts in the field.
Beyond interactive stations, our “Wall of Knowledge” will serve as an open forum for discussions on AI security fostering knowledge-sharing and networking. We aim to offer Swiss Cyber Storm attendees a space for hands-on learning, networking, and tackling AI security challenges. Whether testing AI deception, experimenting with AI tools, or exploring security loopholes, we invite everyone to join us for a day of discovery and discussion. | ![]() Prof. Dr. Ariane Trammell Head of Information Security Research

Informatics Institute of HES-SO Valais-Wallis Show descriptionWhile on-premises LLM deployments are often touted as one-stop solutions to privacy and security concerns surrounding GenAI integration into workflows, there is more to the security of such solutions than just the conversation interface access location.
LLMs and their integration into existing solutions pose numerous security risks, and the goal of this workshop is to help the participants to better understand and mitigate them.
The workshop covers an introduction to the architecture of LLM solutions, basics of threat modeling according to the STRIDE model, and an introduction to a systematic threat modeling on LLM-integrating solutions.
The workshop provides specific examples of a threat path being exploited in real life for a GLC-top5, going beyond OWASP-top-10, and offering the participants several scenarios to threat model by themselves. | |

We’ll dive into dark AI models like WormGPT, demonstrate how LLMs can craft personalized phishing attacks, and use AI to obfuscate malicious scripts.
We’ll also showcase how agentic AI could enable autonomous, metamorphic malware and discuss the risks of hijacked AI agents and MCP (Model Context Protocol) connections.
Each topic will be illustrated with real-world examples, live demonstrations, and practical mitigation strategies.

armasuisse Show descriptionThe accelerating pace of artificial intelligence (AI) development is reshaping the landscape of cyber defense.
This project investigates the potential of AI to enhance or even autonomously conduct cyber defense missions.
Using the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence’s Locked Shields (LS) exercise as a real-world testing ground, we explore how emerging AI technologies can be evaluated and matured for operational use.
This talk and demo presents ongoing research led by the CYD Campus and its partners, highlighting efforts to build an AI-driven Blue Team capable of supporting human defenders—or operating independently—to secure critical infrastructures.
We demonstrate early-stage prototypes running in a cyber range, share insights from recent LS exercises, discuss the challenges and opportunities of AI in cyber defense, and outline the path toward fully autonomous cyber defense capabilities. | Show descriptionThere is no talk on this track at this time, check the schedule of the other tracks instead. |
